Nick Stair (Evangelista Group) has been named a 2020 MoISSI Software Investment Fellow. The Molecular Sciences Software Institute serves as a nexus for science, education, and cooperation serving the worldwide community of computational molecular scientists – a broad field including of biomolecular simulation, quantum chemistry, and materials science.
Nick’s MolSSI Software Mentormay be used synonymously with P.I. or advisor. More broadly,... is Jonathan Moussa and his project is “Development of a self-contained quantum computer simulator with reference implementations of quantum algorithms for strongly correlated electronic structure problems.”
Nick’s previously received a 2019 MoISSI SEED Fellowshipa monetary award provided to support a student’s education.... These six month Fellowships give recipients the opportunity to work with scientists at the MolSSI in order to implement recommended best practices, putting the Fellow’s project on a firm foundation. The Investment Fellowshipa monetary award provided to support a student’s education... supports software development efforts that will have a broader impact on the community and last for longer. Providing 18 months of support, these Fellowships provide longer term collaboration with the MolSSI scientists, who have a broad range of domain knowledge, applied mathematics, HPC and computer science backgrounds.
Congratulations, Nick!
