Monika Raj selected as 2021 Thieme Chemistry Journal Awardee

Monika Raj has been selected by the editorial boards of SynlettSynthesis, and Synfacts  as a 2021 Thieme Chemistry Journal Awardee. This annual award recognizes promising professors at the beginning of their independent academic career. Awardees receive free print and electronic subscriptions of all three journals as a gesture of encouragement.

Monika joined the Emory faculty in August 2020, moving her lab from Auburn University. Research in the Raj Group takes place at the interface between the fields of organic synthesis, bioorganic chemistry, and catalysis. They are interested in utilizing organic chemistry tools to solve problems in the field of biology, leading to the development of new chemical reactions, catalysis, and ligation methodologies for the synthesis of biological molecules.

Congratulations, Monika!
