Kyle F. Biegasiewicz has been selected as one of the 2025 awardees for the Academic Young Investigator’s Symposium (YAS), hosted by the American Chemical Society’s Division of Organic Chemistry.
This highly competitive honor recognizes outstanding assistant professors in organic chemistry who are in their fifth or sixth year of appointment and have not yet been considered for tenure. Each year, the sixteen promising young academics honored with this award are invited to present their research at the ACS Fall National Meeting, showcasing innovative work that is shaping the future of organic chemistry.
Dr. Biegasiewicz presented his research on selective heterocycle synthesis enabled by vanadium-dependent haloperoxidase enzymes, a cutting-edge approach that blends biocatalysis and synthetic chemistry to unlock new pathways for complex molecule construction at the meeting in Washington D.C.
Congratulations, Kyle!
