Two graduate scholars named 2019 Reaxys Prize finalists

Summary:

Two chemistry graduate scholars are finalists for the 2019 Reaxys PhD Prize.

Congratulations to Mallory Green (Heaven Group) and Victor Pui-Yan Ma (Salaita Group) for being selected as finalists for the 2019 Reaxys PhD Prize. The prize, given by Elsevier, recognizes accomplished young chemists for innovative and rigorous research. It is considered the world’s most prestigious award for PhD students in the chemical sciences.

Mallory was nominated for her work on the publication “Dative Bonding between Closed-Shell Atoms: The BeF– Anion“.  Victor was nominated for his work on the publication Mechanically Induced Catalytic Amplification Reaction for Readout of Receptor‐Mediated Cellular Forces.

Finalists are invited to 2019 Reaxys PhD Prize Symposium, set to take place in Amsterdam on October 3rd and 4th. At the symposium, attendees get the opportunity to meet with other finalists as well as members of the Reaxys Advisory Board. In addition, scholars will have the chance to showcase their research during a poster presentation session.

Congratulations, Mallory and Victor!
